It is stored encrypted
The text is encrypted at rest. It is private by default — that is the setting you start on, not one you have to find.
It is read before anything happens
Questions are reviewed by the team around the Sheikh before an answer is written and before anything is ever published.
You decide if it can be published
When you send it you choose: keep it private, or allow the answer into the public archive inside the app so it can help someone else.
You decide whether a name appears
Allowing publication is one choice. Appearing by name is a separate one, and you can publish anonymously.
You can take the permission back
Change your mind before it is published and it stays private. You can also delete your question outright.

The sitting is watched together. That only works if nobody has to expose themselves to take part.
Separate, settled, moderated
- Brothers and sisters sit in separate rooms. Which room you are in is decided when you write, not re-derived later.
- Your name in the room is an anonymous one, and it is fixed at the moment you speak, so words said last week stay attached to the same name.
- It is moderated while it runs. Messages can be removed and people can be removed, during the sitting rather than after it.
- Nothing you say in the room is a question to the Sheikh. Questions take the private path above.
Watching and speaking
- Watching the sitting is open to every member of the app, including free accounts, and to anyone on this page.
- Speaking in the live room comes with membership, which is also what keeps the room small enough to moderate properly.
- Sending a question comes with membership.
- Replays stay inside the app for members after the sitting ends. They are not published on this website.
Nothing said in the room is shown on this page, and no member count, question or answer is published here.

A weekly sitting with a scholar is a real thing, and it has real edges. These are them.
- Guidance, not a ruling
- An answer is a scholar's guidance on what you have described, given in the time a sitting allows. It is not a formal ruling issued on a full case, and it does not bind anyone.
- No guaranteed reply
- More questions arrive than one man can answer in one evening. Yours may not be reached, and being reached is not something membership buys.
- Not therapy, not medical advice
- Pure Path is a recovery app, not a clinic. Nothing said here replaces a doctor, a therapist or medication you have been prescribed.

Who is Sheikh Abu Taymiyyah?
Sheikh Abu Taymiyyah is the scholar Pure Path works with for this feature. He holds the weekly live sitting and answers the questions members send in. His name and picture appear here with his permission.
Can anyone else read my question?
Not the community, and not other members. A question is encrypted at rest and goes to the Sheikh and the small team who review questions before they are answered. It never appears in a feed, a thread or the live chat, and it is private by default unless you choose to allow the answer into the public archive.
Can I delete a question after sending it?
Yes. You can delete a question, and if you had allowed it to be published you can withdraw that permission any time before it goes up — it then stays private.
When do the sittings happen?
They run on a weekly rhythm, and the next date is always at the top of this page, in your own timezone as well as Makkah time. The app sends a reminder before each one starts, which is the simplest way not to miss it.
Do sisters take part?
Yes. Sisters watch the same sitting and send questions the same way. The live room is split, so brothers and sisters are in separate rooms with separate moderation.
What does it cost?
Watching costs nothing — not here, and not in the app. Sending a question to the Sheikh and speaking in the live room come with Pure Path membership. The price is shown in the app in your own currency, because it differs by country.
Can I ask a question from this website?
No, and that is deliberate. Questions are encrypted and tied to your account, which means they are asked from inside the app, where they can be kept private and where you can delete them later.
